• We are not going to be made poor by following the spirit. It might not make sense to buy a huge expensive house, especially in the peak of the housing market, but the Lord knows what he’s doing, and if it’s what we’re supposed to do and we’re supposed to go, things will work out. Going to be made for by following our heavenly father‘s plan. 
• Last night the younger two are crazy. Literally jumping off the walls crazy. We had just gotten our carpets cleaned and all four of our kids, upon walking so the door after school, said “are we moving?“ The house is in disarray, the knowledge of an amazing house in Alpine, the unknown as to whether or not we’re moving. It was all a bit much, so we ended up going up the canyon for dinner. And it was cold. When we walk to our picnic table I said to James “I should’ve wore my hat. He said but it’s not sunny out here. I patted his shoulder and said not that hot silly, my beanie. I’m freezing out here! After dinner he said he wanted to go to the car, so we gave them the keys. A couple minutes later he runs back to me and put my beanie on my head. How cute is that. My boys take care of me. I made a big deal out of it and told him how much love that was, Derek heard it so he ran to the car and back and said “I just ran to the car and back for your mom. I love you too.“ I love my children. They are such good little people.

The privilege of receiving revelation is one of the greatest gifts of God to His children.

If we will truly receive the Holy Ghost and learn to discern and understand His promptings, we will be guided in matters large and small.

Pray in the name of Jesus Christ about your concerns, your fears, your weaknesses—yes, the very longings of your heart. And then listen! Write the thoughts that come to your mind. Record your feelings and follow through with actions that you are prompted to take. As you repeat this process day after day, month after month, year after year, you will “grow into the principle of revelation.”

urge you to stretch beyond your current spiritual ability to receive personal revelation. 

Nothing opens the heavens quite like the combination of increased purity, exact obedience, earnest seeking, daily feasting on the words of Christ in the Book of Mormon, and regular time committed to temple and family history work.

To be sure, there may be times when you feel as though the heavens are closed. But I promise that as you continue to be obedient, expressing gratitude for every blessing the Lord gives you, and as you patiently honor the Lord’s timetable, you will be given the knowledge and understanding you seek. Every blessing the Lord has for you—even miracles—will follow. That is what personal revelation will do for you.

I am optimistic about the future. It will be filled with opportunities for each of us to progress, contribute, and take the gospel to every corner of the earth.

Our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, will perform some of His mightiest works between now and when He comes again. We will see miraculous indications that God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, preside over this Church in majesty and glory. But in coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.

I plead with you to increase your spiritual capacity to receive revelation. Choose to do the spiritual work required to enjoy the gift of the Holy Ghost and hear the voice of the Spirit more frequently and more clearly.

• They are ready to play games!  Play a game with and read to them every day. 

Vision pulls you, goals push you. 

A goal is tackling something you can see. Vision lies in seeing what’s invisible, hidden 

and using the imagination.

Lessons we can learn from this Covid experience. Example: strengthening of foundation of salt Lake city temple because it was covered up and put on hold. Members continued to work on the plans even though actual construction wasn’t happening.

Bro Story: story of reactivated youth not doing scouts bc it was overwhelming. Help our children recognize and celebrate their successes. It is upon those successes that they build confidence and strength.
